How to: Change the default position of the header or footer in a worksheet.
Solution:
Select 'Page Setup...' from the 'File' menu, click the 'Margins' tab from the 'Page Setup' dialog box, and type the new margin for the header or footer.
1) Select the worksheet that contains the header or footer that needs to be changed.
2) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Page Setup...'. (The Page Setup dialog box appears.)
3) Click 'Margins' tab.
4) Type the desired margin (in inches) in the 'Header' or 'Footer' box of the 'From Edge' group.
the Header and Footer boxes
5) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: If the desired margin is less than the minimum margin allowed by the printer, Excel uses the minimum margin rather than the desired margin. For example, in most cases the minimum margin is 0.25 inch. The header or footer prints with a 0.25 inch margin when the margin is set to something less in the 'Page Setup' dialog box.
